If you're like me, you've had a number of blogs over the years. Some may have been successful, some not. Some might have even earned you a couple bucks (over many months). However, you just weren't able to get the traffic or earn the revenue to keep you excited enough to stick with it. It is definitely possible to make a good chunk of change on the Internet. You just need to know how. Unfortunately, its hard to figure out exactly how when most of the sites claiming to teach you how are really just trying make a buck off of you! Its hard to weed through all the ads and potential scams to learn how to make a legitimate dollar.
Its hard to make money alone, but easy when we all work together
That is why I started this blog. It is a blog about blogging. I am not claiming to know a lot about building a wildly successful blog. I have learned a few things over the years - enough to get me started. But I still have a lot to learn; and there is no better way to learn than to learn by doing. My goal is to create an interactive community where we can all learn and work together to build successful blogs. BuzzMyBlog will be my personal diary on building a site that has regular readers and makes a decent amount of money. I will share the entire experience with you and let you know what works and what doesn't. I welcome any and all suggestions, comments, and contributions. Finally, I have a few ideas that will help drive traffic and revenue for all of us that I will unveil in posts to come.
Most importantly, I want to stress that my biggest goal for this blog is to be honest, sincere, and entertaining (I hope). Sure, I hope it makes a little money (eventually). If it does, you'll know exactly how. This won't be another scam and won't drive you crazy with pop up ads, links taking you to God-knows-where, and misleading referrals disguised as content. This is the real deal - an honest discussion on blogging and a forum where we can all learn from each other.
Sound interesting? I hope so. If so, check back regularly, add my feed to your reader, post some comments, and climb on board for an exciting journey into Internet Marketing. Its hard to make money alone, but easy when we all work together!
Ok, now down to business. The first step is building traffic and attracting visitors. I am looking into a few things now which I'll describe in my next post. In the meantime, let me know if you have any suggestions.
And we're off!
